Acceptable Use Policy (AUP)
Effective Date: May 19, 2025
1. Overview
StreamGrid is a social platform built for expression, creativity, and community. This Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) outlines behaviors that are expected, tolerated, or prohibited to ensure a functional, respectful environment for all users.
2. Prohibited Conduct
The following actions are strictly prohibited on StreamGrid:
- Harassment, stalking, or inciting violence against individuals or groups
- Hate speech or discriminatory content based on race, ethnicity, gender, sexuality, religion, or nationality
- Distribution of illegal material, including child exploitation, pirated software, or malware
- Impersonation of other individuals or entities, including fake verified accounts
- Automated spam, phishing attempts, or mass unsolicited messages
- Coordinated inauthentic behavior, vote manipulation, or gaming site metrics
- Reposting doxxed material or private personal data without consent
- Uploading explicit sexual content involving minors or non-consensual acts
3. Encouraged Behavior
We encourage:
- Artistic, experimental, and community-driven content
- Discussion of ideas, even controversial ones, in a civil and respectful manner
- Honest self-expression through profile theming, imagery, and groups
- Participating in moderation or feedback channels to help improve the platform
4. Content Moderation
Moderation is a blend of automation, user flagging, and community oversight. Some spaces on StreamGrid are moderated more tightly (e.g. public feeds), while others allow looser norms (e.g. opt-in or private groups).
If your content is flagged, a human or automated system may review it. Repeated or serious violations can lead to content removal, restrictions, or bans.
5. Group & Profile Responsibilities
Users who create public groups or heavily trafficked profiles are considered stewards of their spaces. Abuse from group members may reflect on the group owner.
- Group owners may be held responsible for persistent abuse or unmanaged toxic behavior
- Public-facing profile pages are subject to visibility-based moderation tiers
6. Creative Freedom and Limits
StreamGrid supports art, parody, surrealism, and edge-case creative expression. However, if content crosses into abuse, manipulation, or endangerment - regardless of artistic intent - it may be removed.
7. Reporting and Appeals
Users can report violations via on-site tools or by emailing moderation@streamgrid.link. Appeals can be submitted if you believe a moderation action was made in error.
8. Enforcement
Depending on severity, we may issue warnings, restrict accounts, or permanently ban users. We reserve the right to enforce this policy case-by-case, with discretion, transparency, and evolving community input.
9. Policy Updates
This AUP may be updated periodically as community norms evolve. The most current version is always available at: https://streamgrid.link/AcceptableUsePolicy.
